OK, I got an xml file from Negan that ads rules to the hips and Firewall from ESET Smart Security Premium.
Now I am curious if I should continue to use the SWH and WDAC functions from WHH Light?

Morro I really have no idea, never used these programs.
Morro I think the Eset HIPS with additional hardening is an overkill.
Keep it simple, the HIPS rules already close quite a lot of potential for attacks.

Thank you Trident, I will remove WHH Light from my system then.

I also generally like to keep things simple, in case "why is this trusted app, document, outbound connection not working, loading" etc., is easier to figure with "less can be best". Otherwise, it can take some time to figure out what the culprit is, but in this case if it's contained in the Eset app itself, would be easier to figure out, troubleshoot.

That’s why my ESET Hips and Firewall rules are heavily adjusted.

Yes, that is indeed the case, either way I removed WHH Light after having returned all settings to default. ![]()

I don’t use all these extra tools, I rely on the solution I paid for.
After all the testing I did , I really used all the Antimalware out there. I stick with ESET.

yes agree, I do have a win10_VM with MS Defender and only Andy Ful's apps for extra security on that VM. I assume Andy Ful welcome here, if he has time...
